About the play
Set on a remote island off the west coast of Ireland in 1934, this is a wonderfully strange and comic tale in the great tradition of Irish storytelling.
When word arrives that a Hollywood director is coming to film 'The Man of Aran' the one person who wants to be in the film more than anyone else is young Billy Claven, keen to break away from the tedium of daily life.
Filled with beautifully drawn characters, this heartfelt play will surely delight and enchant all audiences.
